Guidelines for Power Point Presentation Slides
Below is how your Power Point
Presentation Slides should be organized.
Slide information vs. Presentation notes:
Remember to limit slides to essential
information in simple bullet point form. The majority of your presentation
should be dictated orally by you, so any explanations of your bullet
points should go in the notes section of each slide.
# Of Slides, Font, Font &
Image Sizes: There should be 6
slides in your presentation only. Font sizes should not exceed 48 for titles
and 32 for bullet points/other text. The font should be Times New Roman, Arial,
or Garamond. Images should be no larger than 3 X 4 approximately.
Slide 1: Introduction
This slide should give your
audience an introduction to the presentation.
Slide should include:

Slide 2: Biography
This slide should give your
audience an introduction to the person you are presenting, and where they come
from.
Slide should include:

No more than
three bullet points introducing your listeners to the person/group you will be
presenting.

Slide 3: Sub Question 1
This slide will answer the
first sub question as part of the essential question: “During the time period
in which this person lived, what geo and sociopolitical events and/or trends
were happening that were important to this person’s life?”

Slide 4: Sub Question 2
This slide will answer the
second sub question as part of the essential question: “What events in this
persons’ life were instrumental in making them influential in the Hispanic
world?”

Slide 5: Answer to Essential Question
This slide will answer the
essential question “How were the accomplishments of this person/group
influenced by their personal lives and the geo and sociopolitical environment
of their country during the time they lived? This slide will tie together the
whole picture from two slides above, and may include your insights or new
information.

bullet points tying information from slides 2 and 3 into cohesive and comprehensive
answers to essential question
Slide 6: Conclusion:
This slide is a conclusion of
what you have learned about this person or country and may include information
about how this person’s legacy carries on today. You should include information
about how this person is seen in the Hispanic world today considering what you
presented in slides 2-5.
