Biology I  Semester Project- Family Tree and Ancestral Roots

Instructions: Use your ancestry or family history to investigate genetic characteristics. Select any characteristics which you think may be genetic, or passed through the genes from one generation to the next. Write a report of your investigation following the outline below. Use at least five different sources for your investigation and list them in the bibliography of your report.

C. What characteristics of your family have been passed from one generation to the next?

II. Your Family Tree.

A. Representation of three generations of your family in a family tree diagram.

B. Description of the family members represented in your family tree.

C. Explanation of what characteristics in your family seem to be genetic and why. 

D. Supporting information from your internet search on genetic characteristics.

III. Conclusion.

A. Describe the characteristic that you investigated and the different forms as they appear in your family tree.

B. What have you learned from this investigation?

C. What have you learned about your ancestry?

D. What have you learned from the internet search?

IV. Bibliography listing at least five different sources of information.
