This a great site for controversial issues from the viewpoint of the conservative camp. You can search by keyword or open the daily updates of articles. There are also links to "The Right Pages" which will lead you to web pages of conservative viewpoints on controversial issues.

Controversial Issues: Multnomah County Library
This site has links to many controversial social issues with a balanced viewpoint, and more to the left. Use these links and the Town Hall sites to present a balanced argument in your research papers.

Here is the greatest site for research social issues. There are lists of topics, which link to a page with links divided by understanding the issue (with lots of statistics) and public opinion. After linking to each site, there are more links with valuable information.
